Rotten kid.

Today's my mom's birthday. My sister and I are scrambling at the last minute to pull something together. Usually it's a big deal...we get cake at "Amy's", flowers, make all meals, clean, buy pricy gifts...but this year the planning never happened.

....another thing...apparently my dad had an operation this morning. Sadly, I'm not kidding. I knew about it prior, but somehow got too worried about it being my mom's birthday.

I may be the dupe.

No one's showed up yet. Figures. Kim probably slept in but she can't make any excuses. I was up till 1:00...maybe & got up at 5:00.

Not quite 6:30

Kim & I were discussing how much better it would be to come in early & leave early. I don't think they would let us get away with it seeing as we're never on time for 8:30 as it is. Kim claims that when she plans to come in early, she usually ends up earlier than planned....I say that's just because it's not something she has to do daily. If 6:30 was our regular start time, she'd be late just as often. Peggy joined in the conversation & we made a deal....we are all to come in early this morning & whoever shows up last has to pay for timbits. I win. Free doughnuts for me.

Damn it's hot in here. I wish people would stop cranking the heat up...it's makes it 10 times worse to be stuck in here. If you're cold put on a f*cking sweater.

Yep, it's Monday.

I got the crackiest message ever this morning....

Hi Miyoki, it's Sheryl calling from WAI and I'm leaving a message for you and you're on the other line so just hang on I'm going to get off my message.

There are so many things wrong with that message....first off, my name is not 'Miyoki'....second, she stated that she was calling from WAI (which is our office) and finally...I wasn't even on the other line.

I would make fun of her more, but she was really nice.

that which hails from Japan.

Mmmm...goodies from Japan. Had the most delicious rice crackers (sembe) last night....and of course, they were made in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head....and came in an adorable tin with Disney characters on it.

Also got some super delicious "Tokyo Marron Chocolate Daifuku"....mmm delicious cream filled yum. Write up on the package reads: "High-quality ingredients whose taste has been nurtured by natural light and wind in the greenery setting. It has been prepared with care with naturalness, freshness and lasting superior taste in mind." Most things hailing from Japan are pretty good candidates for engrish.com...they try so hard.

Kasugai Grape Gummy package reads: Enjoy the softness of gentle breeze that sweeps through the vineyard spread vast on the hill in each soft and juicy Kasugai Grape Gummy.

and the best...

Kasugai Muscat Gummy package reads:Its translucent color so alluring and taste and aroma so gentle and mellow offer admiring feelings of a graceful lady. Enjoy soft and juicy Kasugai Muscat Gummy.

I will never forget the sweatshirt my neighbour's girl had: "Snow White & the Seven Dwarps". I really wish that I had kept some of the nonsensical shirts that had been sent to me from Japan.
